Why Printed Paper Works So Hard
Paper is often the only branded thing that touches the food itself. A burger wrapped in plain paper looks generic, while the same burger in a sheet printed with your logo looks like it came from somewhere with a name. Because wrapping paper is used on almost every order, it reaches more customers than any other piece of packaging you buy.
It also does practical work. Greaseproof and wax papers stop oil soaking into hands and boxes, deli paper separates slices, and parchment lines trays so bakes release cleanly. Many kitchens use two or three of these papers in different parts of the menu, and printed greaseproof paper is usually the first one they brand.
Choosing the Right Paper
Greaseproof paper resists oil without a wax coating and suits burgers, chips and fried food. Wax paper has a light wax layer that adds moisture resistance, which is useful for sandwiches and cheese. Deli paper is thin and light, ideal for interleaving and wrapping cold meats, while butcher paper is heavier and stronger for raw meat, barbecue and larger cuts.
Parchment paper is designed for the oven and suits baking and cooking in parcels. Glassine is smooth and translucent, often used for pastries and sweets. If you are not sure which suits your menu, tell us what you wrap and whether it is hot, cold, oily or wet, and we will suggest a paper. Many grills settle on branded burger wrapping paper for their main line.
Liners, Cones and Speciality Wraps
Beyond flat sheets, the range includes liners for baskets and trays, cone holders for chips, and pan liners for loaf tins and round cake tins. Basket liners turn a plain serving basket into part of the brand, and they are changed for every order so the table always looks fresh.
Speciality wraps follow the menu. Burritos, shawarma and tacos each have their own fold and their own sheet size, and fish and chip paper is cut large enough to wrap a full portion. Cheese shops use waxed papers that let the cheese breathe, and a printed food basket liner gives a diner or burger bar a consistent look across every table.
Sheet Sizes, Print and Ordering
Sheets are cut to the size you use, from small squares for sliders to large sheets for butcher counters. Rolls are also available for some papers. Printing is usually one or two inks in a repeat pattern, so the logo shows whichever way the sheet is folded. Paper and inks for food contact are specified in your custom quote once we know what the paper wraps.
Papers are packed in sleeves or boxes that are easy to store under a counter. Delivery is free across the UK mainland, and reorders are simple because we keep your artwork on file. Kitchens that wrap a lot of sandwiches often reorder printed sandwich wrapping paper alongside their other papers to keep the look consistent.

Food Wrapping Papers Questions
What buyers ask before ordering food wrapping papers.
Which paper is best for burgers?
Greaseproof paper is the usual choice because it resists oil without a wax coating. Wax paper also works for drier burgers and sandwiches.
Can wrapping paper go in the oven?
Only parchment paper is designed for the oven. Greaseproof, wax and deli papers are for wrapping and serving, not baking.
Which inks are used on food papers?
Yes. Tell us what the paper wraps and whether it touches the food directly, and we specify the food-contact grade paper and inks in your custom quote. Light, open designs also keep ink coverage low on the side next to the food.
What sheet sizes can you cut?
Sheets can be cut to the size you use. Tell us the width and length, or what you wrap, and we will suggest a size.
How many colours can I print?
Most customers print one or two inks in a repeating pattern. Full colour is possible on some papers and is listed in the custom quote.
Can I order rolls instead of sheets?
Some papers are available on rolls. Mention it in your request and we will confirm which papers and widths are possible.
Will the print rub off on hands?
No. The ink is dry and set before packing, and it does not transfer during normal handling.
How are papers packed?
Sheets are packed in sleeves or boxes in counted stacks, ready to store under a counter or on a shelf.
How long do food wrapping papers take to make and deliver?
Printed papers are made in 4 to 7 working days from proof approval and reach UK mainland addresses by free tracked courier 2 to 3 working days later.
How much does printed paper cost?
Prices start from £0.25 a sheet and fall with larger quantities. Send the paper, size and quantity for a custom quote by email within one working day.
