Custom White Pizza Boxes That Show Your Logo Clearly

from £0.25 a boxPriced per job · low minimums

Custom white pizza boxes swap the usual brown corrugated for a clean white outer, so your logo prints bright and sharp instead of muddy. For a modern pizzeria, the box on the delivery driver's arm is the most-seen piece of branding you own.

Why Pizzerias Choose White Over Brown

Brown kraft pizza boxes are everywhere, and that is part of the problem. A white box looks different from the moment it comes out of the delivery bag. It reads as clean and considered, which suits Neapolitan-style kitchens, sourdough pizza bars, gourmet takeaways and any brand that has invested in a strong visual identity.

There is a practical printing reason too. Ink on brown board absorbs some of the brown, so reds turn brick, yellows turn mustard and blues darken. On white board, colours land the way your designer intended. That matters if your brand colour is a bright tomato red, a fresh green or a playful pastel that simply cannot survive on kraft.

White boxes also show off photography and illustration. A full lid illustration of your wood-fired oven, a cartoon mascot or a map of your neighbourhood looks crisp, where on brown it would look faded. If you prefer a photographic lid in full colour, see our digitally printed pizza boxes.

Board Construction and Heat

A pizza box has to hold a hot, heavy, slightly oily disc flat for the length of a delivery without sagging, and it has to let steam out so the base does not go soggy. E-flute corrugated is the usual choice for standard sizes because it is light, folds crisply and still supports the pizza across the span of the box. Larger party pizzas and stacks of boxes on a scooter benefit from B-flute, which is thicker and stiffer.

The white comes from a bleached liner on the outer face, while the inside can be white or natural. A grease-resistant inner coating can be added to slow oil marks spreading through the board, and food-contact grade board is available on request for the inner liner. Our board and finish options page compares E-flute and B-flute.

Vent holes or punched side vents let steam escape. We position them on the sides or lid corners so they do not cut through your main artwork.

Printing Bright Logos on Custom White Pizza Boxes

Most pizza boxes are printed on the lid only, and for many brands one or two colours look strongest: a bold logo, a phone number or web address and perhaps a strapline. Fewer colours also keep the cost down on large volumes. If your identity relies on full colour illustration, we print in CMYK across the lid and sides.

Side printing is underused. When boxes are stacked on a counter or in a delivery bag, the sides are what people actually see. A repeating logo band or your order line along the front edge makes stacked boxes look like a branded wall rather than a pile of anonymous cardboard.

The inside of the lid is another place to talk to customers. It is the first thing they see when they open the box, which makes it a good spot for a reorder QR code, a loyalty stamp area or a short thank-you. The print and finish comparison guide explains spot colours versus CMYK.

  • Lid: logo, phone number, web address
  • Sides: repeating brand band for stacked boxes
  • Inner lid: QR code, loyalty message or thanks
  • Keep vent positions clear of key artwork

Sizing by Pizza Diameter

Pizza boxes are sized by the diameter of the pizza in inches, a habit the whole trade uses even in the UK, but we cut and quote in millimetres. A box needs a little room around the pizza so cheese does not stick to the walls, so a 12 inch pizza, roughly 305 mm across, normally goes in a box with an internal size around 315 mm square.

Depth is usually around 40 to 45 mm for thin and medium bases. Deep pan, stuffed crust and pizzas with tall toppings need 50 mm or more, otherwise the lid presses on the cheese. If you sell several sizes, it is worth checking the depth for each one, because a deep-pan small and a thin-crust large may need different heights.

Rectangular pizzas, such as Roman-style al taglio slabs or Detroit-style pans, need rectangular boxes cut to the tray size rather than a standard square. Send us the tray dimensions and how many portions go in each box, and we will size the base and lid so the slices sit flat without sliding into a heap at one end during the journey. Slices sold by the piece go in our printed pizza slice boxes.

Keeping White Boxes Looking White

The obvious worry with a white box is marks. Oil, sauce and fingerprints show more on white than on brown. In practice, a grease-resistant inner coating, a pizza box liner or a slip of greaseproof paper under the pizza keeps most oil away from the outer face. Matt varnish over the print helps hide fingerprints and light scuffs from delivery bags.

Store flat boxes in a dry area away from the oven. Steam and flour dust settle on stacks left near the prep line, and white board shows that more readily. Fold boxes just before service rather than hours ahead, and keep a few spare bundles wrapped in their shrink film until needed.

If marks still worry you, choose a design with a coloured band or pattern near the edges, where hands hold the box. Small smudges disappear into the print there, and the white centre stays clean.

Who Orders White Pizza Boxes

Independent pizzerias wanting to stand apart from chains, street food traders with a wood-fired van, restaurants adding a takeaway menu, dark kitchens building a delivery-only brand, pubs serving pizza alongside their usual menu and frozen pizza producers selling at farmers' markets all use them. Event caterers also choose white boxes for weddings and corporate parties where brown boxes would look out of place on a buffet table.

Dessert pizzas, flatbreads, focaccia and tarte flambée fit the same box style, so one design can cover more of your menu than you might think. Kitchens with a classic brown look can choose standard custom pizza boxes instead.

Getting Your Boxes Made

Prices start from £0.25 per box on simple builds, and minimums are low and quoted per job, which helps new pizzerias that are still settling their menu.

We send a free design proof showing the lid, sides and vent positions. The production window is 4–7 working days once the proof is approved, and free tracked delivery to the UK mainland adds 2–3 working days. Boxes are delivered flat in bundles, ready to fold. White Pizza Boxes Questions

What buyers ask before ordering white pizza boxes.

Will oil stains show more on a white pizza box?

They can, which is why we suggest a grease-resistant inner coating or a box liner. Together they keep most oil away from the printed outer face.

Why do my brand colours look better on white boxes?

Brown board absorbs some of the ink and dulls bright colours. White board lets reds, yellows and pastels print true to your design.

What internal size do I need for a 12 inch pizza?

Around 315 mm square internally gives a little clearance so cheese does not stick to the walls. Deep pan pizzas also need extra height.

Should I print on the sides of the box?

Yes, if you can. Stacked boxes show their sides on counters and in delivery bags, so a logo band there gets seen far more than people expect.

Can the inside of the lid be printed?

Yes. It is a good place for a reorder QR code or a loyalty message, since customers see it the moment they open the box.

Where do the vents go?

We place vents on the sides or lid corners so steam escapes without cutting through your logo. The proof shows exactly where they fall.

Is E-flute strong enough for a large pizza?

E-flute suits most sizes up to large. For extra large, party pizzas or tall delivery stacks, B-flute gives extra stiffness.

Can I use the same box for flatbreads or focaccia?

Yes, as long as the size and depth suit. Many shops use one design across pizzas, flatbreads and dessert pizzas.

We open next month. When would boxes arrive?

Allow 4–7 working days after approval to make the white pizza boxes and 2–3 working days for the free tracked courier on the UK mainland. Let us know your opening date when you enquire.

Do the boxes come folded?

They arrive flat in bundles, which saves storage space. Staff fold them in seconds before service.

What if a bundle arrives crushed?

Tell us within 10 days, ideally with photos, and the affected white pizza boxes will be reprinted or refunded.
