Custom Water Bottle Stickers
Custom water bottle stickers are small, tough vinyl decals made to survive condensation, handwashing and being thrown in a kit bag. We die-cut them to your logo or artwork, print them in full colour and add a protective laminate so they stay bright on metal flasks, plastic bottles and glass alike.

What Makes a Sticker Bottle-Proof
A paper label on a reusable bottle lasts about a week. Water gets under the edge, the paper swells and the print rubs away against the inside of a bag. A proper water bottle sticker is built differently from the face stock up. The base is a flexible vinyl film that does not absorb moisture, the inks sit on top of it, and a clear laminate seals the print so it cannot scratch or fade.
The adhesive matters just as much. Bottles are curved, sometimes tapered, and often cold enough to pull condensation out of the air. We use a permanent adhesive that grips smooth plastics, stainless steel and glass, and that keeps its hold when the surface is damp. Thinner vinyl conforms to tight curves more easily, so for narrow bottles we keep the film flexible rather than chunky. p1 The same laminate is used on our vinyl stickers page for other outdoor uses.
Who Puts Their Logo on a Water Bottle
Reusable bottles go everywhere: desks, gyms, classrooms, festivals and commutes. A sticker on one gets seen many times a day, which is why so many organisations hand them out. Gyms and fitness studios give them to members. Running clubs and sports teams use them to mark kit. Schools and colleges print house crests or reading challenges on them, and companies slip them into welcome packs for new starters.
Merchandise sellers are another big group. Illustrators, bands, podcasters and small brands sell sticker packs where a bottle-friendly decal sits alongside laptop and notebook stickers. Customers like knowing a sticker will not peel off the first time the bottle goes under the tap, and that confidence is what turns a one-off purchase into repeat orders. p1 Sticker packs with a laptop piece are covered on our graffiti stickers for merch packs.

Shapes, Sizes and Sheet Layouts for Bottles
The curve of a bottle is the main thing to design around. A sticker that is tall and narrow wraps less around the curve, so it lies flat more easily than a wide one. As a rough guide, keep the width of the sticker to less than a third of the bottle's circumference. For a standard 500 ml flask that usually means something between 50 and 75 mm wide.
Die-cutting around the outline of your design looks far neater than a square label with a background box. Keep a small border of white or clear vinyl around the edge of the artwork, because a cut line that runs right through detailed artwork tends to fray. Rounded corners on any rectangular stickers also help, since sharp corners are the first part to lift when a bottle is gripped and washed.
Single die-cut stickers suit giveaways and merch where each design is sold or handed out on its own. Kiss-cut sheets hold several smaller stickers on one backing, which works well for a club pack with a logo, a motto and a couple of icons, or a school set with different house colours. Sheets are also easier to post in a card-backed envelope.
If you want people to personalise their own bottle, a sheet with name strips or number stickers alongside your logo gives them something to play with. Sports teams often order this way so each player can mark their own flask.
White, Clear or Metallic Vinyl
White vinyl is the default choice. Colours print true on it, the sticker reads clearly on any bottle colour and it hides scratches on older flasks. Clear vinyl gives a printed-on look where the bottle shows through between parts of the design, which is particularly effective on stainless steel and frosted glass. On clear film, light colours can look faint, so we add a white layer behind areas that need to stay solid.
Holographic and metallic vinyl suit merch packs and youth groups that want a sticker people will notice. They catch light as the bottle moves and make simple logos look special. For a sporty club badge or crest, a gloss laminate on white vinyl usually gives the sharpest, most durable result. p1 Holographic film is shown on our hologram stickers page.
Caring for Bottles With Stickers
Our laminated vinyl is made to handle daily handwashing, rain, condensation and the knocks of a bag. Applying the sticker properly is the biggest factor in how long it lasts. Clean the bottle with warm soapy water, dry it fully and press the sticker down from the centre outwards, smoothing out air bubbles as you go. Give the adhesive a day to settle before the first wash.
Dishwashers are much harder on stickers than sinks. The heat and strong detergent can soften adhesive over time, so we always suggest handwashing bottles that carry decals. If you are handing out stickers with bottles, a short care line on the backing paper saves a lot of disappointed messages later. p1 Helmets and hard-wearing kit take our helmet stickers in thicker vinyl.
Artwork That Reads From Across the Room
A bottle sticker is usually seen at a distance, on a desk across an office or a bench at the side of a pitch. Bold shapes and a short message carry much further than fine print. If your logo has a long strapline or small lettering underneath, consider a simplified version for the bottle, keeping just the mark and the name.
Strong contrast helps too. Dark artwork on white vinyl, or white artwork on a bold background colour, stays legible even when the sticker is wet or partly covered by a hand. Avoid text smaller than about 6 mm high, because anything finer tends to blur into the curve. If you are unsure, send us your full logo and we will suggest how it might be adapted, then show you the result on the proof before you commit. p1 The guide to print and finish options compares gloss and matt laminate on vinyl.
Wrap a Paper Cut-Out Round the Bottle Before Sizing
Bottle stickers are sized by the curve, and a design that looks right flat can wrap too far round a narrow flask. Print the artwork at the size you have in mind, cut it out and hold it on the bottle: if it covers more than a third of the circumference the edges will lift, so go taller and narrower. Send the size that sat flat, the bottle type the stickers will mostly go on, and singles or kiss-cut sheets.
Simplify a logo with a strapline to just the mark and the name, keep text over 6 mm high, and choose clear vinyl only if the bottles are all one colour. The custom quote arrives by email within one working day, from £0.25 a sticker, with the minimum set per job.
The free proof shows the cut line drawn on the artwork. Printing takes 4 to 7 working days after approval and the stickers reach UK mainland addresses by free tracked delivery; add a care line on the backing paper for handwashing. Clubs that brand kit bags as well usually add our logo stickers in a larger size in the same vinyl.

Water Bottle Stickers Questions
What buyers ask before ordering water bottle stickers.
Will these stickers survive washing up?
Yes, the laminated vinyl copes with regular handwashing and condensation. Dishwashers are tougher because of the heat and detergent, so we recommend handwashing bottles with stickers. Applied properly, they hold up well to daily use.
Do they stick to stainless steel flasks?
They do. The permanent adhesive grips stainless steel, smooth plastics and glass. Clean and dry the surface first so nothing sits between the sticker and the metal.
What size suits a standard reusable bottle?
Around 75 mm square fits most 500 ml to 750 ml bottles comfortably. On narrower sports bottles a tall shape lies flatter than a wide one. Keep the width under about a third of the bottle's circumference.
Can you cut the sticker to the shape of my logo?
Yes, die-cutting around your artwork is our standard approach. We add a small border so the cut line does not fray fine details. The proof shows exactly where the blade will run.
Is clear vinyl a good idea for a coloured bottle?
It can look excellent, especially on steel or frosted glass. Light colours can fade into the bottle, so we print a white layer behind parts that must stay solid. If your bottles vary in colour, white vinyl is the safer choice.
Can I order a sheet with several small stickers?
Yes, kiss-cut sheets hold several designs on one backing. Clubs often combine a logo, a motto and name strips on a single sheet. Sheets also post neatly in a card-backed envelope.
How should a customer apply the sticker?
Wash and dry the bottle, then press the sticker down from the middle outwards to push out air. Leave it a day before the first wash so the adhesive can bond. A care line on the backing paper is a handy reminder.
Are holographic stickers durable on bottles?
Holographic vinyl is laminated just like our standard stickers, so it handles water and handling in the same way. It is popular for merch and youth groups because it catches the light as the bottle moves.
Can each team member have their own name?
Yes, we can print a sheet per player with their name or number alongside the club logo. Send a list with your artwork and we will set up the variations on the proof.
What do water bottle stickers cost?
They start from £0.25 each, depending on size, vinyl type and quantity. We send a custom quote by email within one working day so you can compare options.
How soon could stickers reach a club event?
After you approve the free proof, printing takes 4 to 7 working days and free tracked delivery to UK mainland addresses takes 2 to 3 working days. Let us know your event date when you enquire so we can plan around it.
