Branding Without Reprinting Everything
Small businesses often start with plain packaging because printed boxes and bags need bigger orders. A logo sticker bridges that gap. Stick one on a plain kraft mailer and it becomes your box; seal tissue paper with one and the parcel feels considered; add one to a takeaway bag and the customer knows where the food came from.
Even businesses with fully printed packaging use logo stickers. They seal tissue, close bakery boxes, mark gift bags, label jars and give away freebies. Because they are so cheap per unit, they are one of the most flexible branding items a business can keep in a drawer.
A good logo sticker does one thing well: it shows your logo clearly at a small size. That sounds simple, but it shapes most of the decisions below.
Where Small Businesses Stick Them
Online shops seal mailers and tissue with them. Cafés and bakeries close paper bags and cake boxes. Candle and soap makers put them on the base of jars and on wrapping. Florists use them on cellophane and kraft wraps. Market traders hand them out to children, who stick them everywhere. Agencies and start-ups add them to laptops, water bottles and event packs.
Many businesses order two kinds: a small round sticker for sealing packaging and a larger die-cut sticker as a giveaway that people want to keep.
Think about the surface before ordering. Stickers bond best to smooth, clean, dry surfaces at room temperature. Applying them to cold boxes straight from an unheated stockroom, or to dusty kraft, can lead to edges lifting. Press firmly from the centre outwards and the adhesive will grip properly.

Choosing Shape and Size
Circles are the most popular sealing sticker because they look tidy whichever way they are applied. Squares and rectangles suit wordmarks. Die-cut stickers follow the outline of your logo and look best as giveaways or on products themselves. Oval and rounded rectangle shapes suit jar lids and bottle necks.
For sealing tissue or bags, a circle of 30 to 50 mm is usually enough. Box lids and jar tops suit 50 to 75 mm. Giveaway stickers tend to be 60 to 100 mm on their longest side, so they are worth keeping. Check the smallest text in your logo at the size you choose; fine type below about 6 pt becomes hard to read on a small sticker.
If your logo is long and narrow, a rectangle or an oval holds it better than a circle, which forces it to shrink. Security seals that show tampering are a different product, covered on our hologram stickers for tamper evidence page.
Paper, Vinyl, Kraft or Clear
Paper stickers are economical and print colours accurately. They suit sealing packaging and labelling dry products indoors. Matt paper is easy to write on if you add a date or a name by hand. Kraft paper stickers give a natural look that pairs well with brown boxes and bags.
Vinyl stickers are tougher and resist water and handling. Choose vinyl for giveaways, bottles, items kept in fridges or bathrooms, and anything that might get wet. Clear vinyl lets the surface show through around your logo, which is useful on glass jars and coloured packaging. Metallic and holographic vinyls add sparkle for special products.
A gloss or matt laminate on top protects the print from scuffs. Gloss makes colours vivid; matt gives a softer, more premium look. The finish and laminate options page shows gloss and matt side by side.
Rolls or Sheets
Rolls are best if you use a lot of stickers on a packing bench or with a dispenser. Peel one, stick it, peel the next. Ask for the roll core size and the direction the stickers come off if you plan to use a label dispenser.
Sheets suit giveaways and smaller quantities, and they are easier to post in an order or hand out at a stall. Kiss-cut sheets keep several stickers on one backing; individually cut stickers each have their own backing and feel more like a collectable.
If you are unsure how many you will use, count how many parcels or bags you send in a typical week and multiply by how many stickers each one gets. Most businesses are surprised by how quickly sealing stickers run out once they become part of the routine, so it is worth ordering a little more than the first estimate. Shops that add a menu or feedback link to the seal use QR code stickers that scan reliably at the same sizes.
Artwork That Prints Cleanly at Small Sizes
Send your logo as a vector file if possible, such as PDF, AI or SVG. It keeps edges sharp at any size. If you only have a picture file, send the largest version you have. For die-cut stickers, we create the cut line around your artwork with a small border, usually 2 to 3 mm, which stops the cut touching the design.
Strong contrast reads best. A dark logo on a light background or a light logo on a dark background shows clearly from a distance. Thin outlines and very pale colours can disappear on a small sticker, especially on kraft. If your logo has a gradient, check the proof carefully, as gradients can look slightly different on vinyl than on screen.
Colour matching deserves a mention too. If your logo uses a specific brand colour, give us the Pantone reference. Printing the colour as a spot ink keeps it consistent across stickers, boxes and bags ordered at different times.
Consider a version of the logo designed for stickers. Many brands simplify their full logo, dropping a tagline or small details, so it stays crisp at 30 mm. The proof will show you exactly how it reproduces at your chosen size. Upload the logo through the free proof request and we will show it at 30 mm and 50 mm.
Print Your Logo at 30 mm on Paper Before You Order
The quickest check before ordering is to print your logo on a desktop printer at the sticker size you have in mind, usually 30 to 50 mm for a seal, cut it out and stick it on the box or bag it will live on. If the tagline or thin strokes vanish, simplify the logo for the sticker rather than enlarging the sticker. Decide rolls or sheets by counting parcels per week, and choose vinyl for anything that meets water or a fridge.
Send the shape, size, material, finish, quantity and a vector logo, and a custom quote comes back by email within one working day, with minimums quoted per job. The free proof shows the cut line and the logo at final size. Printing and cutting take 4–7 working days after approval and the stickers travel free and tracked to UK mainland addresses in 2–3 working days. Misprinted or damaged stickers reported within 10 days are reprinted or refunded. Most shops order the small round seal first and come back for circle stickers in a second size once they see how fast the first roll goes.

Logo Stickers Questions
What buyers ask before ordering logo stickers.
What size sticker seals tissue paper?
A 30 to 40 mm circle seals tissue neatly without covering too much of the paper. Use a larger size if the sticker is your main branding on the parcel.
Will a paper sticker survive on a candle jar in a bathroom?
Not for long, because steam lifts paper edges and blurs the print. Use white or clear vinyl with a laminate for jars, bottles and anything that lives in a bathroom or fridge. Paper is fine for sealing tissue and boxes that stay dry.
Can the sticker follow the shape of my logo?
Yes. Die-cut stickers are cut around the outline of your logo with a small border, usually 2 to 3 mm. Very spiky outlines are smoothed slightly so the sticker peels without tearing.
Are rolls or sheets better for packing orders?
Rolls are faster on a packing bench, especially with a dispenser. Sheets are better for giveaways and smaller quantities.
Will clear stickers show my logo on glass?
Yes. Clear vinyl lets the glass show through. Light colours on clear vinyl need a white ink layer underneath to stay visible.
What file should I send for my logo?
A vector file such as PDF, AI or SVG gives the sharpest result. If you only have an image, send the largest version available.
Can staff write a best-before date on the sticker?
Yes, on uncoated matt paper, which takes ballpoint and marker without smudging. Leave a plain area beside the logo for the date. Laminated and vinyl stickers repel ink, so keep those for printed-only designs.
How small can the text on a sticker be?
Keep text above about 6 pt at the final size. Very fine type and thin lines can blur on small stickers.
Can I mix a seal, a jar label and a giveaway in one order?
Yes. Each design is quoted at its own size and material, and small designs can share a kiss-cut sheet. Ordering them together keeps the brand colour consistent across all three.
Will stickers stick to kraft boxes and bags?
Yes, standard permanent adhesive bonds well to kraft and paper. For textured or waxed surfaces, ask us about a stronger adhesive.
How soon will my logo stickers arrive?
After proof approval, stickers take 4–7 working days to print and cut, then 2–3 working days for free tracked delivery. Rolls arrive boxed and ready for a dispenser.
