Tamper-Evident and Void Options

A tamper-evident hologram sticker shows if it has been removed. Void labels leave a pattern or the word void behind on the surface when peeled away, and the label itself shows the same message. Destructible films break into small pieces when someone tries to lift them, so they cannot be reapplied.

They are useful on boxes of electronics, cosmetics, supplements and spare parts, placed over the opening of a box, the cap of a bottle or the seam of a pouch. They also seal warranty points on devices, showing whether a casing has been opened.

Printing on Top of the Shine

Artwork can be printed over the holographic film in full colour or in selected spot colours. Many designs leave some areas unprinted so the hologram shows through, and print white ink underneath parts of the design where colours need to stay solid and bright.

Simple, bold artwork works best. Fine lines and small text can become hard to read against a moving background. If you need legible text, such as an ingredient list or serial number, print it on a solid white area within the sticker.

Shapes are flexible: circles, squares, rectangles and custom die-cut outlines that follow your logo or character.

Ask to see a printed sample if colour accuracy is important. Holographic film shifts colour with viewing angle, so a brand red can look slightly different as the sticker tilts. Sizing and Placement

Security seals are usually small: a round or rectangular label that spans the opening of a box or the cap of a bottle. Merch stickers tend to be larger so the holographic effect has room to shine.

Measure the surface you are applying to and allow a margin. A seal across a box opening should overlap both the lid and the body enough to bond firmly to each.

If you apply labels by machine, tell us the roll width, core size and label direction your applicator uses.

For curved surfaces such as bottles and tubes, choose a smaller sticker or a more flexible film, because rigid holographic film can lift at the edges when wrapped around a tight curve.

Apply stickers to clean, dry surfaces at room temperature. Dust, grease or cold packaging stops the adhesive bonding fully, and a security seal that peels too easily undermines its purpose. p4 Round seals for jar lids follow our circle stickers page for diameter advice.

Hologram orders go faster when we can see what the sticker replaces or sits beside. Post a current seal, or photograph it on the box, and tell us whether the job is security or decoration; the answer decides film, adhesive and whether void or destructible features are worth paying for. For a security seal, say if you need a serial number or QR code, and measure the opening it must span so it bonds to both lid and body.

For merch, choose a stock rainbow or glitter film and keep text on a solid white area. Tell us sheets or rolls, and for machine application the core size and label direction.
