Custom Roll End Auto Part Boxes

from £0.25 a boxPriced per job · low minimums

Custom roll end auto part boxes are tough, tuck-front corrugated cartons that close without tape and hold brake pads, sensors, pumps and small components securely from the warehouse to the workshop. We size them to your parts, print your brand and part numbers, and add inserts where heavy items need to stay put.

Why Parts Distributors Choose Roll End Cartons

A roll end tuck front box is folded from one piece of corrugated board. The sides roll over to form double thickness walls, and a front tuck flap with two locking ears closes the box firmly without glue or tape. The result is a carton that feels solid in the hand, survives being dropped into a parts bin and opens cleanly at the trade counter so the fitter can check the part before taking it away.

For automotive parts, those qualities matter. Brake pads are heavy for their size and have sharp backing plates that can cut through a thin folding carton. Sensors and electrical parts have delicate connectors. Filters and pumps are awkward shapes. A roll end box made to the right size holds each part without movement, and the double walls resist the knocks of van deliveries and warehouse picking.

The style also packs quickly. A warehouse operator can fold a roll end box in seconds from a flat stack, drop the part in, tuck the lid and move on. No tape gun, no void fill, and a tidy, uniform look on the shelf. For parts that travel by courier rather than across a counter, our printed automotive mailer boxes add a locking lid.

Board Grade and Inserts

E flute corrugated is the usual choice. It is thin enough to fold crisply and print well, yet strong enough for most small parts. B flute is a little thicker and copes better with heavier items such as brake discs, pumps and multi-part kits. For the heaviest parts, ask about a stronger board grade, and tell us the weight of the part so we can match the board to it.

Inserts stop parts sliding and rubbing in the box. A simple corrugated divider can keep brake pads apart so their friction surfaces do not scratch each other. A die-cut cradle can hold a sensor so its connector is not stressed, and a partition can separate a pump from its gasket and fixings. Inserts are made from the same corrugated board and slot in without glue. If pumps make up much of your range, our custom printed fuel pump boxes are sized around them from the start.

Parts with oil or grease on them, such as reconditioned components or parts packed with assembly lubricant, should go into a sealed poly bag before boxing. The bag keeps residue off the board, and the box keeps the bag from tearing. If you ship returns or core exchanges, a slightly larger box with space for the old part and a return label can save a second shipment.

Printing Brand and Part Information

Automotive packaging has to inform as much as it impresses. Fitters and counter staff need to find the right part number in seconds, so put the part number, a short description and the vehicle fitment in large, high-contrast type on the end panel that faces outwards on a shelf. Many brands use a coloured band or icon system to show the part family, which makes a racking bay much quicker to scan.

Rather than printing every part number on its own box, most distributors print a branded box per size and apply a printed label with the part number, barcode and fitment data. This lets one box design cover hundreds of part numbers and keeps quantities per print run high. We can leave a clear label panel in the artwork, sized to your standard label. Ignition brands often use the same label panel approach on printed ignition lead boxes.

Colour, Finish and Brand Recognition

Strong brand colours are part of how parts are recognised in workshops. Printed in full colour on white corrugated, a roll end box can carry your signature colour on every panel, so a fitter knows your brand from across the garage. One or two colour printing on brown kraft corrugated is a more economical choice and still looks robust and professional.

Workshops are oily places, so a varnish on the outside helps the box shrug off fingerprints and keeps it presentable if it is handled more than once. A gloss finish makes brand colours look richer on the trade counter. Our board and finish options page sets out each coating side by side.

Consistency counts as a parts range grows. Fix the position of your logo, the part number panel and the colour band on every box size, so that a wall of mixed sizes still looks like one brand. Keep a simple artwork template for each size and send new part families through the same layout. When you reorder, small differences in shade between runs are far less noticeable if the colours are specified as solid brand inks rather than built from mixed process colours. Ask us to keep your colour references on file so later orders match the boxes already sitting on your racking.

Sizing a Range of Parts

Most parts brands carry hundreds of SKUs but only need a handful of box sizes. Group your parts by their largest dimensions and weight, and we will suggest a size set that covers the range with minimal empty space. Fewer sizes mean simpler stock control, bigger quantities per size and a lower unit price.

For each size, give us the internal length, width and depth needed, plus the heaviest part that will go in it. If parts are bagged first, measure them in the bag. Tell us if boxes go into larger outer cases on pallets, because a size that divides neatly into the outer case saves space on every shipment.

Roll End Auto Part Boxes Questions

What buyers ask before ordering roll end auto part boxes.

What is a roll end tuck front box?

It is a corrugated box folded from one piece, with sides that roll over to make double walls and a front tuck flap that locks shut. It closes without tape or glue.

Are roll end boxes strong enough for brake pads?

Yes. E flute suits most pad sets, and B flute or a stronger grade is better for heavy kits. Tell us the weight and we will match the board.

How do I stop brake pads scratching each other?

Add a corrugated divider between the pads. It keeps the friction surfaces apart and stops the set moving inside the box.

Should I print the part number on the box or use a label?

Most distributors print a branded box per size and add a label with the part number, barcode and fitment. That lets one design cover many parts.

How many box sizes will I need?

Usually only a handful. Group your parts by size and weight and we will suggest the smallest set of sizes that covers the range.

Can the boxes hang on peg displays?

Yes. We can add a hang tab with a euro slot for counters and retail displays.

Will the print survive an oily workshop?

A gloss or matt varnish helps the outside resist fingerprints and light grease, keeping the box presentable.

Can you add a cradle for a delicate sensor?

Yes. A die-cut corrugated cradle holds the sensor in place and keeps pressure off its connector.

Do the boxes come flat?

Yes. They arrive flat and pre-creased and fold into shape in seconds, which saves space in the warehouse.

Can you add new box sizes as our parts range grows?

Yes. New sizes can be added at any time using your existing artwork layout, so the range stays consistent. Each new size goes through a free proof, then 4 to 7 working days of production.

How are auto part boxes priced?

By size, board, print and quantity. Simple boxes start from £0.25 and we email a custom quote within one working day.
