Custom Round Gift Boxes

from £0.25 a boxPriced per job · low minimums

Round gift boxes have a softness that square boxes cannot match, which is why florists, hamper makers and boutique brands keep coming back to them. We build hat-box style rounds in rigid board, wrapped in your print or a textured paper and finished with a ribbon handle if you want one.

The Appeal of a Hat-Box Shape

A round box looks like a gift before anyone has tied a bow on it. The curved wall catches the light, the lid sits like a cap and the shape instantly suggests something special inside: a flower arrangement, a silk scarf, a tower of macarons or a candle and bath set. Customers carry them proudly by the ribbon, so the box does a little advertising on the walk home.

Round boxes are also very reusable. People keep them for storing hats, accessories, letters and craft supplies, which means your logo stays on a shelf in their home for a long time. For a florist, a round box can also replace a vase for delivered arrangements, giving the bouquet a sculpted look.

Because the shape is less common than a rectangle, it helps a brand get noticed in a shop window or on a gifting table at a wedding or launch. Florists who box fresh stems in wet foam use the lined version on our flower boxes with a waterproof liner page.

How Round Gift Boxes Are Made

Our round gift boxes are made from rolled greyboard tubes for the walls, with a disc of board for the base and a matching lid. The outside is wrapped in printed or coloured paper and the inside can be lined in white, a contrasting colour or a printed pattern. The result is rigid enough to stack and carry with weight inside.

For lighter gifts and larger quantities we also make round boxes from heavy folding board or thinner rolled card, which costs less and still looks neat. These suit favours, small treats and promotional gifts where the box will be handed out rather than carried far.

  • Rigid rolled greyboard with wrapped paper
  • Lightweight rolled card for favours and small items
  • Full lift-off lid or shoulder-neck lid that sits flush
  • Clear lid option for flowers and treats
  • Ribbon or rope handle punched through the wall

Sizing Round Gift Boxes for What Goes Inside

Round boxes are sized by internal diameter and height. For a single item, measure its widest point and add a little for any wrapping or padding. For flowers, measure the diameter of the arrangement at its widest and the height from the foam base to the tallest bloom you want under the lid, or leave the lid off for display and quote the base only.

Nested sets are a popular choice. Three or four boxes of graduated sizes can be sold together as a gift tower or used separately for different products. Planning the full set at once makes the proportions look right and keeps the print consistent.

If the box will hold something heavy, such as a candle collection or jars in a hamper, tell us the weight. We will suggest thicker board and a stronger base, and if there are handles, a reinforced area where the ribbon passes through the wall.

For tall arrangements, a deeper base with a lid that sits only partway down gives extra headroom without making the box look oversized when closed. Our guide to measuring products for a box covers arrangements and nested sets.

Wraps, Linings and Finishing Touches

You can print the wrap in full colour with your logo, a pattern or photography, or choose a plain coloured specialty paper and add your logo with foil. Pale pastels and deep jewel tones are both popular, and textured papers such as linen or leather-grain give a tactile, boutique feel. Matt lamination protects printed wraps from finger marks.

The lid is the obvious place for a logo, but do not neglect the band around the lid edge, which shows when boxes are stacked. A foil logo repeated round the band, or a contrast stripe, looks smart from every angle. Inside, a printed lining or a short message on the underside of the lid adds a pleasant surprise.

Ribbon is part of the design too. Satin ribbon handles suit gifts; grosgrain and cotton rope suit a more casual, rustic look. We can supply printed ribbon with your name for a fully branded finish. The wrap papers and foils we stock are shown together on our finish page.

Florists, Hampers and Boutique Brands

Florists use round boxes for luxury arrangements, preserved roses and dried flower displays, often with a waterproof liner inside the base. Hamper and gift companies use larger rounds to hold treats, candles and small bottles in shredded paper. Fashion and accessory brands package hats, scarves and gloves in them, and bakeries use smaller sizes for macarons and truffles.

Event planners order them for wedding favours, bridesmaid gifts and corporate launches. A set of matching rounds in your client's colours makes a strong impression on a gifting table.

Retailers selling gift sets online find round boxes photograph particularly well. The curve gives product shots depth and the lid can be propped against the side to show what is inside, which is useful when listing a hamper or a flower box on a website or marketplace. A consistent colour across your round boxes also builds a recognisable look on social media, where customers often share what they have received. Treats that should be seen before the lid lifts go in clear lid gift boxes instead.

Inserts and Protection Inside

A round box with nothing to hold the contents in place can let items roll. Card inserts with circular or segmented cut-outs keep jars, candles and bottles upright. For flowers, a plastic-lined base holds floral foam and protects the board from moisture. For clothing and accessories, tissue paper and a card disc keep things tidy.

If you are posting round boxes, ask about a square outer carton with corner fillers. Round shapes are awkward in courier networks, and an outer box keeps the printed wrap pristine.

For hampers, a card divider that splits the base into halves or quarters is often enough to stop jars and bottles knocking together. Shredded paper fill then hides the divider and adds a soft, gift-ready look that suits birthdays, thank-yous and corporate gifting alike all year round. If you sell a fixed hamper line, we can cut the divider to the exact products so packing is quick and repeatable for your staff.

Order One Size in Two Wraps Before the Full Set

Round boxes are a wrap decision as much as a size decision, so if you cannot choose between a printed pattern and a plain textured paper with foil, order one size in both finishes first and reorder the winner across the set. Size by the contents: the widest point of a single item plus a little for wrapping, or the diameter and height of an arrangement from the foam base to the tallest bloom. Tell us the weight if candles or jars go in, as heavy contents call for thicker board and a reinforced handle wall.

Send the diameter, height, wrap, handle choice, quantity and artwork, and a custom quote comes back by email within one working day, with low minimums quoted per job. The free proof shows the lid, the band around the lid edge and the lining. Production takes 4–7 working days after approval and tracked delivery to UK mainland addresses is free, taking 2–3 working days. Damaged or misprinted boxes reported within 10 days are reprinted or refunded. Boxes with a separate lid in plainer board are listed as round cardboard boxes with lids.

Round Gift Boxes Questions

What buyers ask before ordering round gift boxes.

Can round gift boxes hold fresh flowers?

Yes. We add a waterproof liner inside the base so floral foam and water do not soak into the board.

What is a shoulder-neck round box?

It has an inner collar that rises above the base wall, so the lid sits flush against it. It looks more refined and feels sturdier than a simple lift-off lid.

Can I order a nested set of round boxes?

Yes. We size a set of graduated rounds together so the proportions match and the print is consistent.

How strong are the ribbon handles?

Handles are fixed through reinforced holes in the wall. Tell us the weight of the contents and we will suggest a board and ribbon to suit.

Can the lid have a clear window?

Yes. A clear lid suits flowers and treats where the contents are the attraction.

Can you print the inside lining?

Yes. A printed lining or a message under the lid costs little extra and adds to the reveal.

Do round boxes post well?

They are rigid but awkward in courier networks. We suggest a square outer carton with corner fillers for posting.

Can I use plain coloured paper with a foil logo?

Yes. Coloured specialty papers with a foil logo are a popular, elegant alternative to full print.

How do I size a box for a flower arrangement?

Measure the widest point of the arrangement and the height from the base to the top bloom. If the flowers will stand above the rim, quote the base only and display it open.

Can a florist get round boxes before a busy delivery week?

Yes, if you order with enough lead time. Production takes 4–7 working days after you approve the free proof, and boxes arrive by free tracked delivery in 2–3 working days. Ordering a slightly larger stock of your most popular size helps avoid running short.

Can a boutique order twenty hat boxes for a window display?

Yes. Minimums are low and quoted per job, so a short run for a window or a launch is fine. Many boutiques order one size in two wraps first and choose the finish they prefer before ordering the full set.
