Custom CCTV Camera Boxes

from £0.25 a boxPriced per job · low minimums

Custom CCTV camera boxes hold a security camera together with its bracket, power supply, cables and fixings, each in its own place, so the installer or homeowner opens a tidy kit rather than a jumble of parts. We make them in printed folding board or corrugated, with card or foam inserts sized to your hardware.

What Goes Into a Camera Kit Box

A security camera rarely ships alone. A typical kit includes the camera body, a wall or ceiling bracket, a power adaptor or PoE injector, a length of cable, a bag of screws and wall plugs, a drilling template and a quick start guide. Some kits add a second camera, an SD card, a weather-proof junction box or a small hex key for adjusting the lens angle.

Without a structured box, all of this rattles around and arrives scratched or tangled. The camera lens is the part most at risk; a scuffed dome or cracked lens cover is the commonest reason for a return. A box with a fitted insert puts the camera in a cradle that holds it away from the walls, and gives every accessory its own compartment.

A good layout also helps the installer. Opening a box and seeing everything in a logical order, camera on top, bracket beneath, fixings in a side pocket, saves time on site and makes your brand look professional. A multi-camera kit with a recorder is closer to a drone box with a layered insert than to a single-camera carton.

Who Orders Branded Camera Packaging

Security equipment brands selling through retailers and online marketplaces need retail-ready boxes with photographs, feature icons and specifications. Trade suppliers and distributors who rebrand cameras under their own name need boxes that look consistent across a range of models. Installers who supply cameras as part of a fitting service sometimes order plain boxes with their logo, so customers associate the hardware with the company that installed it.

Smart home brands with doorbells, indoor cameras and baby monitors use the same box principles, often with a stronger focus on lifestyle imagery and app screenshots. Consumer brands selling through electronics retailers usually follow the shelf conventions of retail camera boxes, with a hero photo on the front.

Insert Options for Cameras and Accessories

Card inserts are cut and folded from flat board, with cradles for the camera and slots for cables. They are economical, print-friendly and suit lightweight cameras. Corrugated inserts give more cushioning and are better for heavier metal-bodied cameras or kits with several units. Foam inserts, cut with cavities shaped around the camera, offer the most protection for domes and expensive optics.

Accessory compartments can be separate small boxes inside the main box, or pockets formed in the insert. A small tuck box labelled for screws and fixings is a neat way to keep small parts together. Cables can be coiled and held with a twist tie in a dedicated channel.

Send us the camera and accessories, or detailed measurements, and we will design an insert that suits your contents and how they will be packed. Foam against die-cut card is compared on the box inserts page, with examples of pocket layouts.

Box Styles and Board Strength

Single-camera retail boxes usually use folding board around 350 to 400 gsm in a tuck end style or a lid and base. For more premium cameras, a two-piece rigid box with a printed sleeve feels more substantial. Kits with several cameras, a recorder and cables are heavier and should use corrugated board, often in a mailer style that can be posted without an outer carton.

If your boxes ship to retailers on pallets, consider the stacking load as well as the weight of the contents. Boxes at the bottom of a pallet carry everything above them, and folding board can buckle. E flute corrugated gives a big improvement in strength while still printing sharply.

A box that ships to an end customer by courier benefits from a crash-lock base, which locks into place when the box is opened out and does not need tape.

Printing Specifications That Customers Read

Buyers compare cameras on resolution, field of view, night vision range, storage options and connectivity. Put the most important specifications on the front as clear icons, with a full specification table on the back or side. Product photographs showing the camera mounted on a wall or ceiling help buyers picture it in place.

Leave room for a barcode, model number, serial number label and any compliance markings your products require. If you sell the same box design across several models, a white label area where a model sticker is applied keeps you from reprinting for each variant.

Dark colours with a bright accent, such as charcoal with blue or black with green, suit the security sector. Gloss laminate keeps photographs vivid; matt laminate gives a more technical, understated finish.

Include a short line about what is in the box on an outer panel. Trade buyers want to know at a glance whether a kit includes cables, a power supply and a bracket, and a simple contents list prevents returns from customers who expected parts that were never included. If the back panel is long, the layout tips for speaker boxes with spec panels apply here too.

Tips for Distributors and Installers

If you buy cameras from a manufacturer and rebrand them, ask for the exact dimensions of every component from the factory. Components can change between batches, and an insert designed for one version may not fit the next. Building in a few millimetres of tolerance helps.

For installers, a plain kraft or white box with a single-colour logo and a phone number is often enough. It makes a cleaner handover to the customer than an unbranded manufacturer's box and keeps your contact details in the house for future maintenance calls.

Distributors who stock several brands of camera often face the same problem: every model arrives in a different box, and the shelves look untidy. Moving to one house box design in two or three sizes, with model stickers, gives a stockroom and a trade counter a much more organised appearance and makes picking orders faster.

Think about returns as well. A box that can be reopened and resealed cleanly, with an insert that still holds the camera after it has been handled, makes it far easier to inspect and restock returned units without repackaging them. Plain outer cartons for installer stock are usually ordered as plain shipping boxes in a size that holds four retail boxes.

Box the Kit Around the Longest Cable

A camera is easy to fit; the cable and bracket are what blow the box size out. Coil the longest cable supplied with the kit to the smallest loop that does not kink it, measure that coil, and tell us whether it sits under the camera or beside it. Brackets and screws go in a separate card pocket so they cannot scratch the dome. Planning the cable first usually saves a box size and a chunk of courier cost.

Send the camera, bracket and cable dimensions, the box style, insert type and quantity, and we email a quote within one working day with minimums set per job. The free proof shows the insert layout and the spec panel on the back. Boxes are made in 4 to 7 working days after approval and arrive by tracked courier, included for UK mainland; damaged or misprinted boxes reported within 10 days are reprinted or refunded. Installers who also supply doorbells and chargers often order matching charger boxes so the van stock looks like one range.

CCTV Camera Boxes Questions

What buyers ask before ordering CCTV camera boxes.

Which insert protects a dome camera best?

A foam insert cut around the dome keeps the lens cover away from the box walls. Card inserts with a raised cradle also work for lighter domes.

Can screws and wall plugs have their own compartment?

Yes. A small tuck box or a pocket in the insert keeps fixings together so they do not spill when the box is opened.

Should multi-camera kits use corrugated board?

Yes. Kits with several cameras and a recorder are heavy, and corrugated board resists crushing in transit and on pallets.

Can one box design cover several camera models?

A shared design with a white label panel lets you apply a model sticker, saving separate print runs for each variant.

Where should the specifications go?

Key features as icons on the front, with a full specification table on the back or side panel where buyers comparing models look for it.

Do you make plain boxes for installers?

Yes. Many installers order kraft or white boxes with a single-colour logo and contact details, which is simple and economical.

Can the box be posted without an outer carton?

Corrugated mailer styles can be posted as they are. Folding board retail boxes should go inside a shipping carton.

What if my camera dimensions change between batches?

We build a few millimetres of tolerance into the insert. If a new version is significantly different, the insert can be revised for the next run.

Can you print the inside of the lid?

Yes. A quick setup guide or app download prompt inside the lid is a useful touch that reduces support calls.

How do I start an order for a new camera range?

Send the component dimensions and quantities for a custom quote. After approving the free proof, production takes 4 to 7 working days, followed by 2 to 3 working days for free tracked delivery.
