Custom Twin Scoop Cone Holders
Custom twin scoop cone holders are card sleeves and stands made for the extra width and weight of two scoops, so cones stay upright on the counter and drips stay off customers' fingers. Printed with your name and colours, they also make every cone you hand over a small advert walking down the street.

A Double Scoop Needs a Different Holder
A single scoop cone balances reasonably well in a standard sleeve. Add a second scoop and the centre of gravity moves up and outwards, especially with a side-by-side twin cone where the two balls sit next to each other rather than stacked. Standard sleeves cut too narrow at the mouth crush the wafer edge, and those cut too short let the cone tip over the moment it is put down.
Twin scoop holders are cut wider at the top, often with a shaped collar that cradles both scoops, and reach higher up the cone to support the extra load. The result is a cone that a child can carry without it tipping, and one your staff can stand in a rack while they finish the order. Fewer dropped cones means fewer free replacements, which adds up across a busy summer weekend.
Holders also help with hygiene. Staff hand over the cone by the card rather than the wafer, and customers have something clean to hold while they find a napkin. For kiosks with a queue, that small detail keeps the service moving. Single cones are better served by our printed ice cream cone holders.
Sleeve, Collar or Stand
The format you choose depends on whether the holder travels with the customer or stays on the counter. Customers who want a spoon rather than a cone can be offered printed ice cream cups in the same design.
- Wrap sleeves curl round the cone and lock with a tab. They travel with the customer and catch drips running down the outside.
- Collar holders have a wider top that supports both scoops and a narrower base that grips the cone. They suit side-by-side twin wafers.
- Counter stands are flat card stands with cut-outs that hold several cones upright while staff serve. They can carry a menu or flavour list.
- Carry trays hold two or four cones for families and can be printed on every face.

Getting the Fit Right
Cone sizes vary between suppliers more than most people expect, so the safest approach is to send us the cone you actually use. If that is not practical, measure the top diameter, the overall length and the diameter halfway down. For twin wafers, measure the width across both cups at the widest point.
We cut the holder so the cone sits snugly without pinching. A holder that is too tight cracks the wafer when staff push it in, and one that is too loose lets the cone spin and topple. On the proof we show the flat shape with dimensions, and for larger orders we can send a plain sample to try with your cones before the printed run goes ahead.
Twin cones from one wafer supplier can also change shape slightly between batches, so keep a few spare sleeves of the old size until you have tried the new cones. Wafer cones with a narrower point may suit ice cream cone sleeves better.
Board That Copes With Melting Ice Cream
Ice cream melts, and the holder is where the drips land. Uncoated board soaks up moisture and goes limp within minutes on a warm day. We recommend a white board with a moisture-resistant coating on the inside, which keeps the holder stiff for the time it takes to finish a cone. Food-contact grade board is available on request for holders that touch the wafer directly.
For counter stands that stay behind the till all day, a thicker board or a laminated finish stands up better to wiping down between rushes. Kraft board suits artisan parlours and gelaterias that want a natural look; white board suits bright, playful branding for seaside kiosks and vans. Kraft and white boards are compared on our board and finish options page.
If you serve sorbet or soft serve alongside scooped ice cream, mention it. Soft serve tends to drip faster and lower down the cone, so we may suggest a slightly taller sleeve with a deeper drip catch at the base.
Branding That Works at Arm's Length
Customers see a cone holder from very close, but passers-by see it from across a promenade or park. Use a bold logo on the front and keep any extra text short: your name, perhaps a social handle, and nothing more. Patterns running round the whole sleeve make a strong impression in photos, and people do photograph ice cream.
Some parlours print a flavour key on the inside of the collar or on the counter stand, so customers can point to their choice. Others print a loyalty stamp area on the carry tray. Full-colour print suits illustrated designs, while one or two spot colours keep the cost down on large runs for vans that sell through high volumes in the warm months. Take-home tubs printed to match, such as our printed ice cream tubs, carry the look into the freezer.
Who Uses Twin Scoop Holders
Ice cream vans use wrap sleeves because customers walk off immediately. Parlours and dessert shops use collars and counter stands, where customers sit or stand at the counter. Farm shops selling their own dairy ice cream often choose kraft holders with a simple stamp-style logo. Event caterers serving at weddings and fairs want carry trays so one guest can take cones back to a table of family members.
Gelaterias serving a twin cup-and-cone combination sometimes pair our holders with printed paper cups, so the brand looks the same whichever way a customer orders.
Mobile caterers who pitch at different events each weekend often keep two designs: a bright everyday version and a plainer one for weddings and corporate bookings, where the client prefers a quieter look on the cones served to guests.
Ordering for the Season
Most sellers stock up before the warm weather starts, and it pays to order early because cone holders are used quickly once the season gets going. Store them flat in a dry place away from freezers, where condensation can soften the board. Low minimums are quoted per job, so you can start with a modest run and top up once you know your weekly use. Other seasonal items sit in our cups, cones and ice cream range.
Send us your cone size, the holder style and your artwork for a custom quote within one working day. A free design proof comes first, production takes 4 to 7 working days after approval and delivery to the UK mainland is free and tracked. Anything misprinted or damaged in transit can be reported within 10 days for a reprint or refund.

Twin Scoop Cone Holders Questions
What buyers ask before ordering twin scoop cone holders.
What is the difference between a twin scoop holder and a normal cone sleeve?
A twin scoop holder is cut wider at the mouth and taller up the cone to support two scoops. A standard sleeve is shaped for one scoop and often lets a double cone tip over.
Do side-by-side twin wafers need a special shape?
Yes. They are wider than they are deep, so we cut an oval collar that cradles both cups. Send us a cone or its measurements and we will shape it to fit.
Will the holder go soggy when ice cream drips?
Uncoated board will. We use a moisture-resistant inner coating that keeps the holder firm for the time it takes to eat a cone, even on a hot day.
Can I test the fit before ordering a full run?
For larger orders we can send plain samples cut to your size so you can try them with your own cones before the printed run starts.
Can the counter stand carry a flavour menu?
Yes. The front and top of a counter stand can show flavours, prices from your menu or a short message. Keep text large so customers can read it from the queue.
How should I store holders in a van?
Keep them flat in a dry, closed box away from the freezer, where condensation can soften the board. Take out only what you need for each service.
Which board suits an artisan gelateria look?
Kraft board with a one-colour logo gives a natural, crafted feel. White board suits bright colours and illustrated designs better.
Can carry trays hold both cones and cups?
Yes. We can cut mixed openings so a tray holds a cone alongside a cup, which suits families ordering a mix of both.
Is a small first order possible for a new van?
Yes. Minimums are low and quoted per job, so you can start small and reorder once you know how many you go through each week.
How soon can I have holders before an event weekend?
After you approve the free proof, production takes 4 to 7 working days and free tracked delivery to the UK mainland takes 2 to 3 working days. Tell us the event date when you ask for a custom quote.
Can holders be printed inside as well?
Yes. Inside print works well for a flavour key on a collar or a fun message revealed as the cone is eaten. It is priced as an option in your quote.
