Custom Nail Polish Boxes

from £0.25 a boxPriced per job · low minimums

Custom nail polish boxes hold a single bottle snugly or line up a set of shades behind neat card dividers, printed so the box hints at the colour inside. Nail brands use them to make a small product feel collectable, and salons use them to retail the shades clients have just had applied.

Small Bottle, Big First Impression

A nail polish bottle is small and usually heavy for its size, with a glass body and a tall cap. On a shelf of hundreds of shades, the bottle alone can get lost. A box gives the brand a bigger canvas, protects the glass from chips and keeps the cap clean and secure.

Boxed polish also feels more like a gift and less like an impulse buy. Many brands sell premium or limited shades boxed while keeping everyday colours unboxed on a display stand. Others box every bottle so that online orders arrive looking polished and consistent.

The box should fit closely. A loose bottle rattles, which sounds cheap and risks chipping the glass. A snug tuck end carton, or a carton with a small neck insert, holds the bottle firmly and stops it moving.

Polish is also sensitive to heat and light over time, and a box keeps a bottle out of direct sun on a bright shop shelf. For brands selling through beauty retailers, boxed stock is easier to handle in warehouses, because cartons stack neatly while loose bottles roll and chip.

Single Shades, Duos and Collections

Single bottle boxes are tall, slim tuck end cartons sized to the bottle and cap. Duos, such as a colour with a matching top coat, sit side by side in a slightly wider box with a divider. Collections of four, six or more shades are popular gift sets, often in a sleeve and tray box or a rigid box with a magnetic lid.

Divider inserts keep each bottle upright and separate, so glass does not knock against glass. For gift sets, a window in the lid shows off the row of colours, which is often the main selling point.

Salon kits combining polish, base coat, top coat, cuticle oil and a file can use a larger box with a custom insert holding each piece.

Plan limited collections around colour families rather than dates. A box design built around a theme, such as nudes, brights or metallics, can be reordered whenever that family sells well, rather than going out of date.

Sizing Custom Nail Polish Boxes

Measure the bottle with the cap on: width, depth and total height. Nail polish bottles come in many shapes, from square and round to tall and slim, and caps vary just as much. Add a millimetre or two on each side so the bottle slides in easily, and a little more on height.

For sets, lay out the bottles as you want them presented and measure the total width, adding space for the dividers. If your range includes several bottle sizes, such as a mini and a full size, each will need its own box size.

Send us a sample bottle if you can. It is the easiest way to get a perfect fit, especially for unusual shapes.

Remember that brush caps differ between suppliers even for bottles that look identical. If you change bottle supplier, check the new cap height before reordering boxes, as a few millimetres can stop the tuck flap closing neatly.

Matching the Box to the Shade

Many nail brands print each box in or near the colour of the polish inside. A shade swatch on the front panel, or a colour band around the box, helps shoppers find the right colour without opening the box. For large ranges, keep the main design the same and change only the shade band and name.

Accurate colour matters. We can print to Pantone references so the swatch on the box is close to the real polish. Screens and printed samples always look slightly different, so ask for a printed colour check if a shade is especially important.

Shade names and numbers should be easy to read on the end panel, so boxes stored in a drawer can be found quickly.

Some brands print a small swatch on the top flap as well as the front, so a box stored lying down in a drawer can still be identified by colour. It costs nothing extra and makes stock checks faster in salons with large ranges. Brands that also sell gloss use the same colour-coded end panel on lip gloss boxes in matching shades.

Finishes That Suit Beauty Shelves

Gloss lamination echoes the shine of polish and makes colours look rich. Matt and soft-touch finishes feel modern and luxurious. Holographic foil suits glitter and special effect shades. Spot gloss on the bottle image or brand name adds contrast on a matt box.

Embossing the logo or a pattern adds texture that shoppers notice when they pick up the box. If you make vegan, cruelty-free or similar claims, supply the exact wording and any logos you are entitled to use; we print what you send and add nothing of our own.

Salons Selling Polish

Clients often ask to buy the shade they have just had applied. A salon that can hand over a boxed bottle of the same polish turns a compliment into a sale. Own-label salon polish in a branded box also builds loyalty, as clients return for more of their favourite shade.

Display boxed polish at reception or beside each nail station. A small counter display box holding several shades makes it easy to browse while waiting.

For salons with a strong local following, a branded polish box is also a simple gift item. Clients buy shades for friends, and the salon name travels with every box. A matching gift card holder in the same design makes it easy to pair a polish with a treatment voucher.

How to Order Nail Polish Boxes

Send us your bottle size, the box style, the number of shades, print and finish, and the quantity per design. We reply with a custom quote by email within one working day, with low minimums per shade so you can box a full range without overstocking slow sellers.

A free design proof is sent before printing. Polish cartons are made in 4–7 working days after you approve the proof, then reach UK mainland addresses on free tracked delivery in 2–3 working days. A shade printed wrongly or a carton crushed in transit, reported within 10 days, is reprinted or refunded.

Single bottle cartons start from £0.25 each, with sets and rigid boxes priced by size and finish.

Nail Polish Boxes Questions

What buyers ask before ordering nail polish boxes.

How do I measure my polish bottle?

Measure width, depth and total height with the cap on. Send us a sample if the shape is unusual.

Can each box match the shade inside?

Yes. We print shade bands or swatches to Pantone references so they are close to the real polish.

Can I use one design for my whole range?

Yes. Keep the main design the same and change only the shade name and colour band. Minimums are quoted per design and kept low.

How do I stop bottles knocking together in a set?

Card dividers keep each bottle upright and separate, so glass does not touch glass.

Can I add a window to a collection box?

Yes. A window in the lid shows the row of shades, which is often the main selling point of a set.

Which finish suits glitter polishes?

Holographic foil and gloss lamination both suit glitter and special effect shades.

Can salons order own-label polish boxes?

Yes. Minimums are low and quoted per job, so salons can box their own range.

Can the box hang on a display hook?

Yes. We can add a hang tab to the top of single bottle boxes.

Can you print vegan or cruelty-free logos?

We print the wording and logos you supply, exactly as supplied. Check that you are entitled to use any logo before sending it.

Do you make boxes for gel polish kits?

Yes. A larger box with a custom insert can hold polish, base coat, top coat and accessories.

Can I get a colour check before the full run?

Yes. Ask for a printed colour check if a shade is especially important, as screens and print always look slightly different.
